A Date with Technocratz.....

Two rocking days....an excellent experience....and some unforgettable moments of lyf....can u expect anything more than this on a date.....well the event i m relating to here is the Management Meet "Pragati'09" held at Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore on 13-14th Feb...i was really lucky to be a part of the young pool of talent from my college...the 12 people who went dere...n to the surprise of alll....we won four 1st prizes and 1st overall runner up ....n not to forget the best thing...i won two among them...both in Systems...with my team partner and senior Ram Subramaniam....a 'jodi' which cracked them all......

I played three games...one in opertaions...which was like winning a marathon for me.....n i m not gud at running...so apart from it...i played two Systems Event..Carnets de Voyage and Agents of Redemption...both simply fabulous...and a real beauty...to play...kudos to the developers..the 'Technocratz'....as dey call demselves......d games were like a series of puzzles and quiz and all kinda logical stuff...we find in CAT n other entrances....watever u say...I was enthralled by d way dey were created...being a systems guy i can understand the pain in developing these stuffs....

Few words for my partner...ah!!!simply awesome....always energetic....and born with a never to die spirit......without him i cannot even think of participating....winning is a far ahead job.....when we were going to Coimbatore i asked him how wud the game b like..he told me only one thing...dont worry...watever it be we will crack it...dats d kind of confidence he has.....n d same he build it in me....when in the 1st game we were stuck in a round for almost 40 minutes....n i lost all hopes....he told to me don't forget "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!!".....n we cracked all d next rounds in a matter of seconds...amazing all d participants n d hosts to the extreme.....d 2nd event was even more challenging.....but since we were booming with confidence.....we made it a win again....bagging up two 1st prizes and a cash prize of Rs. 12,000. Other than us Krishna Kumar won 1st prize in Operations and Ajay Prasad, Durga Devi, Chinmaya Rout won 1st in another operations game. we won three 3rd prizes also in quiz, HR and Marketing. All the team members contributed some points to the total thus making four 1st prizes and a mega total of Rs.24,000 in all.

Finaly a few words for the students at Amrita, dey are the best students on earth i wud say in terms of hospitality and management of situations......we were amazed to see the way they handle all d work by themselves with a zero participation of teachers n seniors....and got applauds from every visiting team.....even our Hospitality Co-ordinator, Neelima, d one in a saree in d pic, she skipped her lunch to take care of all of us....a marvelous effort by her....in taking care of all of us....we all thank her for d way she handled it all alone....

So, to sum up...i know for certain d memory of these two days will remain afresh for a long period of time...it was not winning which mattered...instead what made me happy d most was dat i was able to get some prizes for my team and department....n also a small farewell gift to all my seniors....coz sadly it was d last man meet in which dey participated.....anyways d lyf goes on.....

Congratulations to all my team members!!!!

Cheers!!!

Pic of the Week...

Hi all....

Above I have posted a pic which is truly superb. I would like you all to describe the pic in most suitable way in ur comments. All of them will be posted with the pic.

My description goes like this: Its a rare pic showing the emotions of help. The way puppies are shown helping the baby shows thier faithfulness...for which they are known everywhere...

So go ahead guys....n lets see how much aptly u can describe it...

.....Ek Musafir....

A Day Will Come...."Ek Din Aayega...."

Two Months back…I celebrated the 22nd b'day of my lyf…a lyf which when I look back has loads of memories….memories which never dies bcoz I luv looking back at them again n again….a kind of a hobby u can say….for the simple reason dat dey make me remember of wat I was n where I m headed to….my ‘Destiny’...

Destiny’, a word which I learned 15 yrs back but still don’t know where it lies….n wat it has in stock for me….a word which almost everybody of my age is aware of n quite frightened of as well…. d reason….our desires which grows with every flip of calendar….we dream of getting everything we think about n thus fear whether my destiny will hold dem for me or not.

For me, truly speaking I don’t even know wat my desires are….so d fear index is a bit high….n again wen I learn about people becoming CEO’s at the age of 15 and making the world dance on their fingers at my age….I virtually starts doubting myself…

So as the proverb goes…”Every dog has his day”.….I have also started looking at every moment positively….just hoping for the best….bcoz I know for certain that ‘A Day will Come’ which will be my day…a day wen I wud b proudly able to stand before everyone….a day wen every other wud b proud to be a friend of mine….a day wen I will b able to complete the dreams of my parents…a day wen I will no longer be “Ek Musafir”….it will be d day I will reach my ‘Destiny’….

…..but till then the ‘Search’ continues….

I would like to quote some of the lines of Hindi Music which inspires me a lot n drives me towards my ‘destiny’:

1. “Dekhte jao tum aisa bhi ek din…ek din to jarur aayega….humse is duniya mein ek din har koi…jab haath milayega….gale se laga legi tumko khushi….badal jayegi ek din zindagi” – from _________ (try guessing lets see how many of u clicks it. Plz post ur guess in comments.).

English Version--“Just go on seeing, a day will come…..n will surely come when everybody on this earth will shake hands with us…it will b d day wen happiness will fold us in its arms….d day wen the life will change.”

2. “….ae dil tu rona nahi….ki khwab adhure nahi…ki armaan saare tere….honge pure kabhi…..ek din aayega…tu muskurayega….” – from Album “JAL”.

English Version--“O heart don’t cry….for the dreams are still not broken…n all your hopes will come true….a day will come….when u will smile…”

3. “Ye honsla kaise ruke….ye aarzoo kaise jhuke…manzil mushkil to kya…dhundhla saahil to kya…tanha ye dil to kya….” – from movie “DOR”.

English Version—“the courage won’t stop….the hopes won’t bend…even if the destiny is tough to get….even if the way is not clear…even if the heart is lonely….”
